Startup Sphere Weekly #53
An animated video agency making $500,000/year. Also, a health newsletter selling for $35,000.
Hey it’s Vlad
Welcome back to Startup Sphere - a 5-minute weekly digest about online businesses selling for life-changing amounts of money.
If you haven’t yet, make sure to drop me a follow on Instagram. I haven’t been posting there as consistently, but I plan to get back to it this year. I appreciate your support!
Let’s get right into this week’s business listings ⤵️
Weekly Rundown
Asking Price: $35,000
TTM Revenue: $0
TTM Profit: $0
This might be the first time I’m featuring a business with no revenue or profit, but something about it caught my attention.
The business for sale is a newsletter in the health niche. It focuses specifically on technology and innovations in the health sector.
Beehiiv actually just released its 2025 email newsletter trends report, and niches like health, mental health, and fitness showed the strongest open rates and engagement numbers. Even outside of the newsletter, health is a profitable niche, giving the new owner of this business a great opportunity to expand and monetize on other channels.
Overall, the business is a bit expensive (since it makes no money). But at $35,000 and 47,000 subscribers, the price comes out to less than $1 per email, which is a pretty decent deal.

AI assistant for musicians
Asking Price: $45,000
TTM Revenue: $60,000
TTM Profit: $19,000
This is a really interesting business, in a niche I’ve never looked into before, that shows one of the many use cases of AI.
The tool is an AI assistant designed to help musicians with the songwriting process, specifically around lyrics.
Now I’m not a musician, so I don’t know how effective or in-demand this software is, but 60,000 sign-ups is enough for me to see that some people find this useful.
The listing also mentions some other stats. The software is priced at $9/month and $49/month (which is a bit low). They also have an LTV of $86.49. So you can spend anywhere up to $86 to acquire a user (which is decent).
Competitors include beatopia and LyricStudio.
*****
Animated video production agency
Asking Price: $1,500,000
TTM Revenue: $562,000
TTM Profit: $225,000
The business for sale is a very impressive service business that makes animated videos for its clients.
This business has some impressive numbers, like a 70% client return rate. The business does have pretty low profit margins (40%) for a service business, but I assume that is because the work is outsourced.
Most customers come through the website, which gets close to 10,000 visitors per month (quite high for a business website). I also like that this business has a high average order value (AOV).
Overall the price is quite steep, but this seems to be a proven business model.
