Weekly Rundown

PDF conversion SaaS

Asking Price: $44,000
TTM Revenue: $18,000
TTM Profit: $6,000

I can’t even count the number of times I’ve Googled “how to convert PNG to PDF” (or something of that sort). This business solves exactly that.

The company for sale is pdfen.com - a website that converts and merges various files and file types to PDFs.

The website has been around for 13 years, so it has really strong SEO and domain authority.

Unfortunately, the website only makes ~$500/month (even with over 200,000 pageviews per month). This makes me think there must be a better way to monetize.

This seems like a good acquisition opportunity for someone who can leverage the high volume of traffic and monetize an already loyal audience base.

SaaS for conference organizers

Asking Price: $206,000
TTM Revenue: $323,000
TTM Profit: $42,000

Part of why I enjoy writing this newsletter so much is because I get to research hyper-niche companies and see how much money they are making. This company is a great example of that.

The business for sale is Speaker Travel - a travel booking software for conference speakers. Basically, it simplifies the booking process for conference organizers. For example, you can invite a conference speaker, they find their preferred flight/train to get to your conference, and the organizer approves the trip.

Obviously, I am not super tuned in to the conference/conference organizer niche. But based on a TTM of $323,000, there seems to be an audience for a tool like this.

One note I would make is that the profit margins seem a bit low for a software business. Before making this acquisition, I would check what the expenses are, and if the profit margins can be improved.

Telegram sports betting service

Asking Price: $160,000
TTM Revenue: $51,000
TTM Profit: $41,000

What if you can make $50,000/year with just a telegram group?

This is a really cool business that integrates with Telegram and provides users with sports betting picks and arbitrage opportunities. Every time I come across a business in the sports betting niche, it seems like it’s making money.

Something interesting to note is that the listing mentions that this is a high-churn business. This is because sports betting clients are emotional. On the upside, margins are high and LTV is also high.

This business seems like a great first step, and there is room to expand into a full-fledged service on top of the telegram-only solution.

Competitors include SureBet, BetBurger, and Bet Hero.
